The Mojo Dojo has opened in Gnarly Peak. But rather than getting their groove on while learning martial arts and meditation skills, its clients seem to be dying at an alarming rate. Could it be coincidence when bodies start dropping in rather mysterious circumstances? Aggie Sloan, a former K-9 officer, and her slobbering, flatulent, burping, one-eyed Pit Bull, Jack, aren’t convinced, no matter what the local police and Colorado State Patrol have to say about it. Which brings Aggie and Jack in direct conflict with Gnarly Peak Police Chief, Andrew Kelly (also known as Aggie’s grandfather, Grampy), and Homicide Detective Reid Tremaine (a.k.a. Detective Hottie or Detective Pain-in-the-buns, depending on the situation) from Colorado State Patrol. Both police agencies are satisfied the deaths resulted from natural causes and the medical examiner agrees. Unconvinced, Aggie signs up at the dojo to investigate, but not even Tai Chi can calm her nerves with Jack on his own mission of discovering the dead and nearly dead.
